ഓംചേരി സാറിന് അനുസ്മരണം…

ഭാഷാക്ലബ്ബിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ അനശ്വരപ്രതിഭ ഓംചേരി സാറിന് അനുസ്മരണദിനം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.

മുതിർന്ന മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമായ എ ജെ ഫിലിപ്പ്, കേരളാ കാർട്ടൂൺ അക്കാദമി ചെയർമാൻ സുധീർനാഥ് തുടങ്ങിയവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ ഓംചേരിയുമായുള്ള ഓർമ്മകൾ പങ്കു വച്ചു. പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ മീര എസ് നായർ, മാനേജർ പി എൻ സതീശൻ, ട്രഷറർ ജയകൃഷ്ണൻചന്ദ്രൻ തുടങ്ങിയവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

ഭാഷാക്ലബ്ബിലെ കുട്ടികൾ ഓംചേരിയുടെ ജീവിതയാത്ര അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഓംചേരിയെ കുറിച്ചു പതിനൊന്നാം തരം വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി സ്മൃതി എഴുതിയ കവിതയുടെ പാരായണവും നടന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ ‘ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്‌ മീഡിയം’ എന്ന നാടകത്തിന്‍റെ ശബ്ദരേഖ അവതരണവും, തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെകുറിച്ചുള്ള ഡോക്യുമെൻ്ററി പ്രദർശനവും അരങ്ങേറി.

The Literary Club of RK Puram Kerala School paid tribute to Omchery Sir.

Senior journalist and writer Shri A. J. Philip, and Shri Sudheer Nath, Chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, shared their memories of Omchery sir during the event. Principal Meera S. Nair, Manager P. N. Satheeshan, and Treasurer Jayakrishnan Chandran also spoke at the occasion.

The students of the Literary Club presented a portrayal of Omchery sir’s life journey. The event included an audio presentation of his play ‘English Medium’ by the students. The recital of a poem about Omchery written by eleventh-grade student Smrithi S Nair is also took place, followed by a documentary screening about him.
